PAST CHORD MELODY CLUB WORKSHOPS:

June 29, 2025, 11AM PDT episode 7: Freight Train

We learn two solo uke arrangements of the lovely Elizabeth Cotten tune, “Freight Train,” one simple, one more complex. We also explore using an alternating thumb finger-style pattern to play chord melody. In addition we survey variation ideas that will extend the arrangement into a performance length piece. As usual, there are jam tracks, chord shapes, theory breakthroughs, and a free fondue set. Okay there is no fondue set. But, the rest is true…JOIN THE CLUB!
